JOURNAL OF THE HOUSE.
JOURNAL OF THE HOUSE.
Thursday, September 21, 2006.
Met according to adjournment, at eleven oclock A.M., in an
Informal Session, with Mr. Donato of Medford in the Chair (having
been appointed by the Speaker, under authority conferred by Rule 5,
to perform the duties of the Chair).
Prayer was offered by the Reverend Robert F. Quinn, C.S.P.,
Chaplain of the House, as follows:
God, Our Creator, Your guidance enables us to make reasoned,
right and objective judgements as we take up and address our many
personal and legislative responsibilities. In this process, inspire us to
remain faithful to our high ideals, personal goals and to our human,
spiritual and religious values. Today the Jewish Community is
preparing to observe and celebrate Rosh Hashanah. We wish our
Jewish associates and friends a happy new year filled with peace,
success and all blessings.
Grant Your blessings to the Speaker, the members and employees
of this House and their families. Amen.
At the request of the Chair (Mr. Donato), the members, guests
and employees joined with him in reciting the pledge of allegiance
to the flag.
