AARP THE MAGAZINE GOES CROSS COUNTRY WITH 2005 ROAD SHOW --Recharge, Rejuvenate and Rethink 50+ with the Worlds Largest Circulation Magazine -- New York, NY (May 2, 2005) AARP The Magazine, the worlds largest circulation magazine,
kicks off the annual AARP The Magazine Road Show on May 21 in Lambertville, New Jersey.
The 13-city 2005 Road Show offers advertisers an integrated marketing program that delivers
fun, interactive events featuring sweepstakes, exhibits, prize-giveaways, free health screenings,
free massages, product sampling, cooking demos, games and more.
AARP The Magazine Road Show, a multi-media opportunity, welcomes current and new
advertisers to this years tour. Now in its 4 th year, the Road Show is an ideal way for advertisers to interact with consumers and showcase their products or services one-on-one at a grass roots
level. Consumers benefit, too, by learning ways to make their lives easier, more productive and
more rewarding. AARP The Magazine Road Show is a win-win for advertisers and the 50+
demographic alike, said Group Publisher Jim Fishman.
The Road Show, from May 21 through August 28, visits fairs, festivals, high-end adult
communities and other popular events of interest to the 50+ AARP demographic. It will focus on
key aspects of life that are most important to AARP The Magazine</b></i>s readershealth, fitness,
family, entertainment, travel and leisure.
The AARP The Magazine Road Show begins May 21 at the Lambertville Shad Fest in
Lambertville, NJ. Other tour stops include the 17 th Annual Palatka Blue Crab Festival in Palatka, FL, from May 28-30; Custers Last Stand in Evanston, IL, from June 18-19; Fremont Festival of
the Arts in Fremont, CA, from August 6-9; and RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff at the NASA Johnson
Space Center in Houston, TX, from August 26-29.
This year, the AARP The Magazine Road Shows reinforces the theme Rethink 50+ and will
feature the following attractions:
Recharge: The latest information about vacation destinations. Rejuvenate : Free health screening from local hospitals, relaxing massages from local
massage therapists. Reward: Sweepstakes and games with prizes from vacation packages to gift certificates. Rescue : Adopt a pet from a local animal shelters. Refuel: Onsite cooking demonstrations provided by Pillsbury Cooking for 2 and local
restaurants. Recreation: Sink some putts at this years new golf attraction and win prizes. Resources: Information about the AARP membership, new products and services.

AVIS, FC&A Publishing, Goodyear, Hertz, Home Depot, Liberty Medical, Milk-Bone, P&G,
Pillsbury Cooking for 2, On-Star by General Motor, One Hanes Place, Olay Vitamins and
