providing education must be
achieved in accordance with our
philosophy: Everything we do is
based on quality service to students
and their families, faculty, and
staff; development, growth,
involvement, and recognition of
employees; and sound economic
principles.
Our Purpose
The Art Institute of Tampa educates
and prepares design or business-
related students and culinary arts
students, using quality educational
programs created to instruct
students in skills useful in everyday
performance in the workplace.
The Art Institute of Tampa faculty
achieve this purpose by bringing
professional knowledge to their
instruction. A student graduating
from the College can expect to be
prepared to seek an entry-level
position in his or her chosen field.
Objectives
Every Art Institute of Tampa student
is expected to gain an understanding
of a body of theoretical and practical
knowledge appropriate to his
or her degree objective. This
understanding is demonstrated
through measurable student-
learning outcomes specified in
the outline of each course for
each degree program. In degree
programs, students are expected
to complete specific courses and
develop critical and analytical
learning abilities, together with
educational values, that contribute
to lifelong learning.
Participate in a Diverse Community
At The Art Institute of Tampa,
students are part of a community
where diversity is its strength, and
the integrity of each individual is
respected. Our students active
contribution to college life supports
the creative and intellectual
evolution of everyone at The Art
Institute of Tampa.
Although some students arrive
with previous experience in their
program fields, others arrive with
only their desire to learn. Students

Tampa from private schools, public
schools, and home schooling
environments. Many choose the
convenience of residing in the
surrounding community. At The

Industry leaders and prominent
employers who determine what
skills are needed in the workplace.
Classes are sized to allow for
individual attention, and academic
advisors work with students
one-on-one to ensure that they
stay on track. Many of the
Colleges faculty are also working
outside of the classroom so students
will learn what is happening out
there in here. This ensures that
the education each student
receives is relevant, practical,
and hands-on.
The best way to learn about
something is to do it. Therefore,
classes often mimic what students
will find on the job. Presenting
new ideas, adhering to deadlines,
and working in teams help students
to flex those creative muscles. The
Art Institute of Tampa students do
not just learn about the visual arts.
They design rooms, go on photo
shoots, create ad campaigns,
develop computer animation
skills, and sell original paintings.
They move through their academic
programs together, establishing
a network and interacting with
design students in all disciplines
as they complete their coursework.
The Art Institute of Tampa
offers each student access to the
technology, tools, and facilities
needed to complete projects in all
disciplines. Here, students have
the opportunity to produce quality
work in an environment appropriate
for their chosen career paths.
